Avalon Park is tucked away in a quiet corner of South San Francisco, and it very much has that energy — unhurried, unassuming, and blissfully uncrowded. The playground is very small but well-maintained. Nearby picnic tables offer a view of the children playing.
The sign says suitable up to twelve years old, which is optimistic at best. Older kids will exhaust the entertainment within minutes.
A baseball field in the back adds some redemption for the older crowd. The bathrooms are basic.
Charming in its simplicity, perfect for neighborhood toddlers, and refreshingly peaceful. Definitely don’t go out of your way for this park, but its a nice stop for residents.
