Ryder Park earns a dedicated trip. The splash pad would have been a highlight but is unfortunately non operational but there are plans from the city to get this back up. Beyond that, the cloud themed playground delivers: a great climbing structure, ride-on toys, swings, a large sandpit with its own sand table, and a dedicated toddler area.

Practical amenities are excellent — changing table in the bathroom is a genuine win for families with babies, and the picnic area pavilion sits right in front of the playground making it ideal for parties. A grassy field adds relaxed picnicking space.

While the playground skews younger, the climbing structure keeps older kids engaged. And when playground energy still isn't burned off, the connected Seal Point Park trails are right there for a beautiful bay walk.
