Sparqkids San Francisco Panhandle Playground

Panhandle Playground

Top pick Parent reviewed

Playground is best for younger kiddos 1-6 and almost seems like a skate park. Great sun, atmosphere, and nearby awesome main streets.

Various climbing structures, slides built into the hillside, swing sets etc.

Parking along Fell or Oak can be intimidating because of how fast these streets are. Best to park in the residential streets and walk in with a stroller (grounds are flat). Better yet, pick up coffee along the way and enjoy it hot.

Panhandle has that rare combination of flat walking paths for your stroller, many choices of coffee or boba near by, a playground that is actually pretty unique with its various rolling levels and climbing structures, a lot of kid exposure, and sunshine. My opinion is that the park skews a little younger, but bigger kiddos will have a blast running back and forth on the rubber hills and practicing their climbing skills. The only part that is hard is parking but my suggestion is to park residentially, grab a coffee and then walk your way to the park - it’s flat enough!
