This is one of a few places that I would take young kiddos to the beach. This area has a small water inlet that heats up during the day, separate from the ocean. Kiddos 1-5 feel safe enough, and warm enough to play in the water, while adults get views of the bridge and ocean- a lovely norcal beach experience. There is a parking lot that fills up, but if you go at tje end of the day there are bonuses, such as watching the sunset, the water being warm in the inlet, and being able to usually find parking. It’s a great picnic spot or to make it a whole day! Would not bring a stroller that can’t go on sand. Wagon territory.
