When you’re seeking the sun, and calm waves, but you don’t want to leave the city, Crane Cove is a nice bet. The marina is very calm so you never worry about waves overtaking your kiddos, and they can wade into the water as safely as can be. The sand is very rocky, so highly recommend crocs or water shoes for you and kids. You don’t have to stay by the water either - there are bike baths for kiddo to practice biking pretty safely.
