Parking can be tough with how popular this playground is. You'll usually be able to find residential parking and the walk is very quaint and cozy.

Bernal Heights is nicknamed Maternal Heights and for good reason. There’s not much that you need in this little urban village, and the newly renovated playground is representative of that. The Library has such a popular storytime hour that requires ticketing to get in (not difficult to grab a ticket- just denotes popularity), and the bathrooms are clean, warm, and -of course- toddler friendly. The outside concourse is always packed with kids and birthday parties, and across the street from legitimately good softserve and ice cream. Once you’re done with the park, it would be easy to grab a meal on Cortland to complete the day.
