Highland Park knows where its strengths lie — and they lie firmly on the sports fields. Immaculately maintained turf for both soccer and baseball, plus impressive tennis courts that would make any sports-loving family very happy. These facilities are genuinely the headline act here.
The playground is a modest supporting character — new and well-maintained but small, with a saucer swing, separate toddler and big kid climbing structures, and a charming hideaway tucked inside a large log that younger kids will immediately claim as their own. One saucer swing is the extent of the swing offerings, which tells you everything about the playground's scale.
A solid neighborhood park best appreciated for its exceptional sports facilities rather than its playground.
