Burton Park has earned its popularity and wears it well. Two fully enclosed playgrounds — one for toddlers, one for bigger kids — both with sandpits and newish equipment. The big kid playground hits the perfect sweet spot for ages five to eight. Shaded throughout by generous tree coverage, rock climbing walls, hidden play spaces underneath the structure, and plenty of room to run and explore make this genuinely engaging.

The splash pad is a lovely bonus, an amphitheater with stage brings unexpected community flair, and an bocce ball court, tennis court, and basketball court round out impressive amenity offerings. Picnic tables everywhere with easy parking completing the package.

Consistently packed with locals — always the most honest endorsement a park can receive.

A wonderful San Carlos community gathering place worth visiting.
