Ponderosa Park is what happens when a city decides a playground checkbox matters more than an actual playground. One slide. One climbing ladder to reach said slide. One motorcycle ride-on toy. A hill masquerading as a field where sports are physically impossible. And nothing else within sight.
This isn't a park — it's a philosophical statement about minimum viable effort dressed up in wood chips.
San Bruno genuinely has wonderful parks that show what's possible when someone actually tries. Ponderosa Park is the cautionary tale on the other end of that spectrum. The community here deserves real investment, real equipment, and a space children would actually want to visit.
Not recommended even for immediate neighbors unless you’re truly desperate to bring your toddler out and are stuck without a car.
