7th & Walnut Park

Parent reviewed

Power plant, freeway overpass, low-flying SFO planes, and equipment toddlers can't use — 7th & Walnut Park is a sensory overload nobody asked for. Skip it!

7th & Walnut Park has committed fully to an immersive industrial soundscape — power plant to the right, freeway overpass to the left, and SFO planes flying so low overhead you could theoretically wave at the passengers. It is, to put it generously, a lot.

The playground itself skews decisively older — no swings, a slide so slippery it launches children at alarming speeds, and overhead spinners completely out of toddler reach. Toddler families will spend the entire visit saying no to everything.

A patchy grass field and half basketball court round out the amenities. The surrounding neighborhood adds its own ambiance.

There are genuinely wonderful parks in San Bruno just minutes away that offer significantly more joy per square foot.

A hard pass dressed up as a park.

Also worth knowing
Power plant lines to the right, Freeway overpass to the left, and direct flight path for planes from SFO results in a super noisy park and less than optimal environment.
