Jardín de Niños is genuinely beautiful with serious artistic intentions. Stunning mosaic tile walls, an elegant fountain as a centerpiece, and a building structure in the new expansion that seems to have taken palace architecture as its design inspiration.
The playground itself is safe, modern, and surprisingly well-suited for babies and younger toddlers — fully enclosed with rounded plastic edges and nothing too thrilling even for the intended older crowd. And just when you think you've seen everything, a loud train rumbles dramatically past the playground on cue. Toddler train fans will absolutely spiral with joy.
A free corner library, coffee available across the street at the gas station, and a short distance to downtown Redwood City, this has a vibrant community atmosphere and is a genuinely lovely neighborhood gem.
