Fleischman Park has found its niche as the neighborhood spot that actually has its splash pad running on a weekday afternoon. In a world of disappointing "splash pad hours may vary" signs, this is genuinely exciting.
The park itself is a modest, unpretentious neighborhood hangout. The grass could use some attention, but generous shady spots throughout keep things comfortable for both parents and kids. The playground is gentle and suitable for toddlers and younger children — older kids will exhaust their options relatively quickly before gravitating toward the splash pad anyway, which honestly was always the main event.
BBQ grills firing, picnic areas full, splash pad running — this place has solid neighborhood hangout energy and fully leans into it.
Come for the splash pad, stay for the BBQ vibes.
