Rinconada Park sets a extremely high standard for what a park can be. Bouncy AstroTurf perfect for tumbling toddlers, an extraordinary swing collection — friendship swings, saucer swings, bucket seats, baby swings, and regular swings — plus carousels, spinners, hammocks, and exercise machines all within the playground itself.

The big kid slide is genuinely the tallest around — cleverly designed so persistent toddlers simply cannot navigate the climb up, keeping it appropriately exclusive to older kids. The toddler playhouse is equally thoughtfully designed, intended for the older toddler.

Next door sits the Palo Alto Junior Zoo and museum, a popular splash pad and pool on the other side, and a magnificent towering redwood forest anchoring the whole magical setting.

Packed on weekend evenings for very good reason. Combine playground, zoo, and pool for an unforgettable full family day out.
