Marina Vista Park walks in and immediately raises the bar for what a neighborhood playground should look like. Brand new equipment, brightly colored and impeccably maintained, with a generous shade structure covering the majority of the play area — someone clearly put real thought into this one.
Fully enclosed with rubberized flooring makes it equally welcoming for babies and toddlers, while enough equipment variety keeps older kids genuinely entertained rather than eyeing the exit after five minutes. A basketball court rounds things out nicely.
The one honest caveat: a freeway sits far enough away to be technically distant, but close enough that you'll definitely hear it humming in the background. A minor footnote on an otherwise excellent park.
Not a cross-town destination, but absolutely one of the better neighborhood parks around.
