Central Park Millbrae is an absolute showstopper. Another stunning Burke-designed playground that immediately signals serious intent — visually striking colors, impressively tall tunnel slides, multiple complex climbing structures, and enough swing variety to eliminate arguments over taking turns. Almost.

What sets this one apart is the thoughtfulness baked into every detail. The largest slide is only accessible via a challenging climb, naturally gatekeeping it for older kids ready to earn it — a clever design touch that keeps the playground appropriately tiered by ability without any signage needed.

Generous shade structures cover the majority of this impressively large park, and the brand new community center right next door alongside a bike-friendly path rounds out what is already a very complete destination. Picnic tables with clear sightlines make gatherings effortless.

An absolute must-visit that earns a dedicated trip (within 15 min drive) without hesitation.
