Turnstone Park is a small, slow-paced neighborhood playground that knows its audience — and that audience is firmly school-aged kids and older. Nothing here is designed with toddlers in mind, so younger families should save themselves the trip and seek out greener pastures nearby.
What it does offer is pleasant enough — a well-maintained basketball court, a modest, nice playground structure, and pretty surrounding vegetation and flowers that give the whole space a calm, neighborhood garden quality. The occasional plane flying overhead provides good views of planes coming into the airport.
No picnic tables and no bathrooms make this a poor party destination, but as a quick after-school energy burn for older kids close to home, it delivers quietly and without fuss.
A solid neighborhood staple with a peaceful quality.
