Leo J. Ryan Park is currently mid-transformation — a major rec center construction has unfortunately taken the playground offline for the past two years, leaving it tantalizingly visible behind construction fencing. The playground looks like a great structure with large shade coverings, enough complexity for the active child to keep them busy and will be worth returning to once complete.

In the meantime, the park delivers a remarkable amount without the playground. Tennis and pickleball courts, a skate park, basketball court, and a full harbor offering windsurfing, kayak, paddleboard, and paddle boat rentals make this a genuinely unique destination. The seasonal kiddo's choo choo trackless train on the west end is a delightful bonus for little ones.

A park worth watching closely — full facilities will make this something special.
