Edgewater Park arrives fresh and well-maintained throughout — new equipment, a pristine soccer field, baseball field, basketball court, and six tennis courts that would make any sports-loving family very happy. The city clearly invested in this one recently and it shows.

The playground itself skews decisively toward older kids — lots of climbing structures, a couple of slides, and notably no swings whatsoever. Toddlers will struggle to find their footing here, and parents of younger ones will spend most of the visit redirecting little ones away from structures too advanced for them.

For older kids and active families though, the combination of quality climbing structures, a well-maintained soccer field, and tennis courts makes this a genuinely solid sporting destination. Plenty of street parking makes logistics easy.

A big kid park through and through — leave the toddlers at home for this one.
